Abstract

Skin is a very sensitive part of the human body because it is directly exposed to the outside world. Skin has an important role in our lives. One of its functions is to remove waste substances such as sweat. The lack of knowledge and limited sources of information causes low public awareness of skin health, so that if there is a problem with their skin, they will not immediately get their skin checked directly by a dermatologist. Regular skin checks can overcome the onset of skin diseases which if left untreated or even ignored can trigger other more dangerous diseases. A knowledge-based system needs to be created to make it easier to find out the symptoms of facial skin diseases. The design of this knowledge-based system is expected to help provide facilities that are easy and fast, especially in terms of health consultations and the delivery of information about skin diseases to the public to deal with skin diseases specifically for facial skin. The conclusion obtained is that the existence of this knowledge-based system is expected to help the community know about facial skin diseases and ways to overcome them.
