Abstract

At present the nutritional status of the mother during pregnancy can affect the growth of the fetus being conceived. The problems that are often experienced today are pregnant women who rarely consult a doctor or nutritionist about the food menu that must be consumed during pregnancy which can result in an increase in infant mortality rates, especially in Indonesia. Because they assume that a lot of food has sufficient nutritional needs for the fetus they conceive. The aim of the study was to design and build an android-based application as a medium for monitoring daily nutrition of pregnant women. An android portal can help monitor the nutrition of pregnant women to make it easier for pregnant women to get information in the form of consultation on meeting nutritional needs suggested through a menu that will more easily reduce existing constraints using the Cooper Method. The Cooper method is a way to calculate caloric needs by treating ideal body weight, height, activity and number of hours of sleep for pregnant women. The results of the study are android-based applications that can be used by pregnant women to obtain information about recommended nutritional needs through calorie calculation and food menu.
