Abstract

Yos Sport Store is a business engaged in the sale of sport equipment. Yos Sport Shop has several branches in the city of Yogyakarta. However, the absence of connection between branch database and integrated central database and also the different item data processing application used by each store lead to a slow process of updating data from the branch stores to the central store. Furthermore, storage media on the database is vulnerable to problems because the data from the branch store saved in one central database. Distributed database system is the solution to the problem. This system distributes from the branch store databases to the central store database. The distribution process is carried out periodically. In order to media storage of central database, the database will be divided into two namely master and slave using asynchronous replication method. This replication method allows master database and slave database not to be connected at all times. In this study, the databases are distributed from branch stores to the central store via the internet network. Therefore, each data updated in each branch store will be distributed to the central store, so that the database of branch store is the same as the database of the central store; whereas the data replication process is carried out on the central store database only. The existence of a distributed database system makes it easy for the central store to know all the data in each of its branch stores. So that the distribution of data processing between branch stores and central store can be well integrated and the central database can be replicated to store all data to other storage media.
