Abstract
The purposes of this study are to know the struggles that Jamie Sullivan does in changing Landon Charter to be a good person in A Walk to Remember movie, to know the problems that Jamie Sullivan faced her struggles for Landon Charter, and to know the ways of Jamie Sullivan solves the problems she faced in her struggles This study uses objective theory of M. H. Abrams, the psychology theory to help the writer study the subject and conflict in literature to analyze the problems. The data were analyzed by using qualitative research design. The data were collected by watching the movie and read the related book to know the struggles and conflict that happened in the movie. The results of this study shows that: first, the struggles of Jamie Sullivan are, helping Landon memorize drama text, changing bad habit of Landon, making Landon believe in God and having a faith and pushing Landon to get his bright future; second, the problems that Jamie Sullivan faced while she struggles for Landon are, she is bullied and insulted by his Landon’s friends, losing her self dignity, and she gets leukemia; and third, the ways of Jamie Sullivan to solve the problems are she keeps her patience and does not care anymore, she is helped by Landon and she struggles to get healthy again.
