Abstract

The purpose of this final project is to develop educational multimedia applications as teaching materials for class X computer networks in the Vocational School of Kebumen Middle School and to study their feasibility. This research was developed using Research and Development (R & D) method with 9 stages namely research and data collection, planning, initial product, initial field test, revision of the initial product, main field test, product revision, field trial and final product revision. The testing phase is done in two ways, namely alpha and beta test, while the data collection technique uses questionnaires / questionnaires. Educational multimedia applications as computer teaching materials and basic X Multimedia class networks are very feasible to use as teaching materials in accordance with the material from media and material experts. The average score of the score by media experts on learning media is 2.07 (with the category "Enough"). Ranking of 3.90 (in the "Good" category). Student responses to educational multimedia applications as computer teaching materials and basic networks obtain scores with an average score of 4.29 (with "Very Good" categories) Keywords: Applications, computers and basic networks, Grade X Multimedia.
