Abstract

Based on data from the Yogyakarta Special Region for Environment and Forestry (DLHK DIY) there has been a decrease in air quality in the city of Yogyakarta at some point. This data is obtained by taking sample data at several points with data collection ranges per 6 months, so that in a year there are only 2 periods of air quality measurement. The data owned by DLHK DIY regarding air quality in the city of Yogyakarta is very limited and the data is not open source, so people do not know the air quality at locations in the city of Yogyakarta. The lack of available data causes research on decision support in overcoming the level of air pollution in the city of Yogyakarta is still limited. In this study an Air Quality Monitoring System was built to provide information on air quality at certain points in the city of Yogyakarta. This system was built by applying the Internet of Things technology by using an Arduino UNO microcontroller equipped with temperature, humidity, gas and dust sensors. Determination of air quality is carried out automatically by the system using the Air Pollution Standard Index (ISPU). This Air Quality Monitoring System succeeded in providing air quality information at monitoring station points in the city of Yogyakarta, and this information can be accessed anytime and anywhere online via the website. This system has succeeded in producing an air quality dataset in the city of Yogyakarta.
