Abstract

The final paper studies and analyzes disrespectful treatments experienced by Jordan landau as seen in Forget About It novel written by Caprice Crane in 2007. There are three problems analyzed in this study: The first problem is the disrespectful things done to Jordan Landau. The second is the persons who treat her disrespectfully. The third is to know how the persons treat Jordan Landau disrespectfully. The study on the subject is considered a descriptive qualitative research and a library research. In studying the subject, the writer of the final paper uses Objective Theory and Psychological Theory. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis method which focuses on the analysis of textual data. The data were collected by reading the story of the novel repeatedly, reading some references related to the theory and the novel, taking note of important data, rearranging, ordering, and manipulating the data to generate descriptive information and making conclusion. The first answer for the first problem shows that Jordan Landau is treated disrespectfully in the family, in her relationship with her lover, and in the working place, the writer finds the answer for the second problem. The doers of the disrespect are some persons whom she loves very much: her mother, her sister, and her boyfriend. She is also treated disrespectfully by her boss and the staffs in her working, the writer finds the answer for thethird problem. Persons disrespect Jordan Landau by humiliating, underestimating, betraying, and showing dislikes to her. Key words: Forget About It 2007, disrespect, humiliation, underestimation, dislike, betrayal
