Abstract

ABSTRACT Along with the rapid growth in the field of economy, industry and information technology, the need for electricity is also increasing. According to Indonesia energy outlook (2016) Indonesia's total primary energy production in the form of coal, natural gas, petroleum and EBT) in 2015 was 2,848,025 thousand SBM where around 1,887,366 thousand SBMs were exported abroad. In the same year, Indonesia had to import 348,267 thousand SBM of energy. Most of the exports are coal and most of the imports are petroleum, BBM and LPG. Human needs for unlimited and prolonged energy are not comparable with the availability of energy in nature. When viewed from the increasing population each year, it will not be able to meet unlimited energy needs, if energy is not managed efficiently, especially for non-renewable energy. This study focuses on the ability of electricity generating capacity to meet the needs of electrical energy by applying dynamic system models to analyze the demand and availability of electricity in the household sector in DIY. After dynamic system modeling is verified and validated, a dynamic system model will be developed by adding scenarios, namely the scenario of the capacity limit of the generating capacity in meeting electrical energy needs. The results of the simulated structural scenario show that the remaining production ratio in 2028 is 18% of the existing plant capacity, which means that until 2028 the power generation capacity for the DIY region is still able to meet its electrical energy needs. Keywords : dynamic system method, electricity demand, household sector , structural scenario, generating capacity, remaining production ratio
