Abstract

ABSTRAK The city of Purwokerto is one of the regions that are experiencing progress in infrastructure, industry, urban planning and tourism, causing increased electricity demand. This increase in the amount of electricity supply which is not balanced by the capacity of distribution transformers due to its limited capacity will cause overload on the transformers. This results in the insulation of the coil melting so that a short circuit occurs and the transformer becomes burned /damaged. There is also a distribution system in the form of undervoltage, namely the collapse of the voltage that causes consumers tend to receive relatively lower voltage compared to consumers who are located near the service center. This happens especially in the KBL02 feeder network which covers the urban area and KBL05 for the Baturraden tourism area which are all supplied by the Kalibakal GI. To overcome the overload on the transformer is by increasing the capacity of the transformer that is a transformer that has a small load is transferred to a large load or vice versa and conducts the transformer insertion. As for undervoltage, a section is transferred to the nearest network of feeders that have a smaller load. The existing data show that there are 43 overloaded transformers and undervoltage with a percentage of 93.91% for KBL02, while for KBL05 there are 64 overloaded transformers and 71.29% voltage percentages that have exceeded the tolerance limit of undervoltage criteria with a voltage percentage value 90 %. Thus it is necessary to transfer new networks, namely to the KBL011 feeder network in the undervoltage section. Kata kunci : overload, undervoltage, transformer, section and existing.
