Abstract
Water in reservoirs has various functions to meet human water needs, such as irrigation facilities, hydropower, and recreational facilities. High rainfall will cause overflow of water in the reservoir if it is not monitored properly. This study designed a tool to monitor the water level in the reservoir through the chat application (Telegram messenger). This tool is designed using WeMos D1 ESP8266 as a microcontroller to regulate the work of the system, HC-SR04 Ultrasonic sensor as a water level reader, servo motor as an automatic opening and closing tool, and Telegram chat application that has been downloaded and installed on a smartphone or via Web Telegram. The result shows that the device can provide information on the height of the water level. Users can also request information on water level height, and the tool will provide information automatically when the water in the reservoir exceeds the normal limit.
