Abstract
Waste is divided into two categories, namely organic and inorganic. Organic waste is garbage that can be decomposed by microorganisms and easy to decay. While inorganic waste is waste that is difficult to decompose because it contains plastic, metal and glass. In life, people often do not know the difference between the two categories of waste, so most people dispose of garbage not according to the place provided. Therefore, a prototype of the Automatic Recycle Bin based on the Arduino microcontroller has been designed that is able to sort metal waste using a proximity sensor, and wet and dry waste using a rain fc-37 sensor. After the garbage is detected by the sensor, the servo that works as a waste sorting drive will automatically direct the waste according to the categorized container. This design uses an ultrasonic sensor as a proximity sensor and if anyone wants to dispose of the trash and the servo will automatically open the trash. This prototype is able to detect a full garbage container by utilizing the Limit switch as a detector and using OLED as an information display interface.
