ABSTRACT Every house must have a gate with a door and a lock that is used for personal vehicle security and home security as a whole. Generally, to open the garage door and lock the door they do it manually. This often results in inconvenience and inefficiency of garage door users both people who are in the house, or who drive a car. From the problems above, a garage automation and home security system was created using Arduino. In this final project, a control system is designed using the Arduino UNO microcontroller board. The system sounds an alarm when the door is forced open. The system uses the interface in the form of a 20x4 LCD display for the monitor. The system designed can open the garage automatically by using ultrasonic sensors. In this system, the servo motor used to open and close the garage works well. The results of the open door angle testing by measuring using a protractor obtained an average error of 0.75%, and the LCD can display data in accordance with the reading of the ultra-sonic sensor and the reed switch sensor. This tool succeeded in sounding the alarm alert when the door of the house was broken down. This automation system can control the garage automatically making it easier for users. This tool can increase the door security system when someone is forcibly opening the door of the house, utilizing technology to improve the security aspect.
