Abstract
ABSTRAK Early childhood is a golden period for the development of children to obtain an educational process. This period is valuable years for a child to recognize various kinds of facts in the environment as stimulants to his personal, psychomotor, cognitive and social development. The colors and shapes are recognized by children from an early age. Children recognize the colors and shapes of the surrounding environment that they see; children's knowledge of color begins to develop long before they start formal education. The application of colors to children can improve their ability to recognize and remember, especially in children under the age of three (toddlers), by developing children's intelligence and imagination. The introduction of color to toddlers is closely related to sharpening children's imagination and artistic abilities. Therefore we need a color recognition device whose output is in the form of sound, because basically toddlers prefer sound games. In addition to playing this tool can also be used as an educational medium of learning the introduction of basic colors that have been designed in the form of a pen stick that is equipped with a TCS3200 Color Sensor, Arduino Nano and other components contained in it, one of which is the speaker as the results of the output in the form of sound. Kata kunci : Golden age, Pen Stick, Psychomotor, Cognitive.
