Abstract

ABSTRACT The substation is a component of the electrical power transmission system that has an important role in the operation. Bantul substations 150 kV with a capacity of 16 MW have 3 Power Transformers (Power Transformers) with a capacity of 60 MVA each. Power Transformer is the main component in the electric power distribution system for consumers. Transformers are electrical power equipment that serves to reduce high voltage to low voltage, so that the voltage used is in accordance with the rating of the customer's electrical equipment or load in general. And as time went on, increasing population resulted in an increase in demand for electricity. Along with the increasing demand for electricity, the need for transformers by itself will also increase following the increase in the amount of electricity needed. In this final project the demand forecasting and analysis of transformer development at the Bantul Substation in the period from 2020 to 2029 will be carried out using the Trend Analysis Least Square Method and simulation using the ETAP (Electric Transient and Program Analysis is conducted by using medium voltage network data. The transformer load I at the Bantul Substation reaches 49 MVA in 2021. This must be done by ± 8.5% by moving the BNL 03 feeder which has a load of 8.84% to transformer III which has the smallest load. After load transfer in 2027 the load on transformer III reaches 50 MVA and in 2028 transformer loads I and II reach 50 MVA this needs to be anticipated by adding a power transformer or upgrading the transformer to a larger capacity so as not to reduce the reliability of the transformer in the supply power to consumers. After being projected in the ETAP application it is known that there are several feeders that experience under voltage. This can be overcome by activating the tap changer on the transformer and installing capacitor banks at BNL feeders 06, 07 and BNL 14. Keywords : Trend Analysis, ETAP, Transformer Load.
