ABSTRACT The design of a door safety system using e-KTP as an NFC-based electronic key consists of several stages starting from the study of literature, system design, tool making, tool testing, data analysis and conclusion drawing. In addition to NFC as the main component to read e-KTP, a keypad is used to enter the PIN as a double seat to be able to access the door. In designing this tool, it utilizes the application of instant messaging that is telegram which is used for monitoring via smartphones and the main control device used is NodeMCU v1.0 which is equipped with WiFi module ESP8266, and it also uses solenoid as a door lock. Based on test results, it shows that use of e-KTP as an electronic key-based NFC and PIN as security for multiple access doors can be made and can run well. The safety can also be monitored by the use of smartphones through telegram application. The reliability of the tool is seen in its capability in reading UID e-KTP that has previously been covered by plastic box in 2 mm thick with a maximum distance of 6 mm from the cover box that covers the NFC module.
