Abstract

ABSTRACT During the harvest, many catfish farmers still use nets when harvesting fish and many do not know that by draining pond water regularly and providing regular feed, it can reduce fishy odor and improve the quality of catfish meat when consumed. Thus the Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller is needed as an automatic drainage system, scheduled feeders and microcontroller-based fish harvesters and the Internet of Things (IoT) as monitoring catfish ponds. In this water drain system, the activeness of the system is based on the reading of the turbidity sensor. If the water is cloudy, the drain relay will be active so that the water recedes and then the water fill relay will be active and the ultrasonic sensor will detect the water surface. In addition, the process of fish feeding is executed based on the specified time and the servo motor as a valve opening with the weight of the feed released by 70 grams with a buzzer as an indicator of feed needs to be filled. The fish harvesting process uses stepper motor components as net lifters and servo motors as lever controllers that are controlled using a switch. The entire sensor data is transferred by ESP8266-01 to the internet and displayed via the Blynk application. In testing each system, the results are obtained that the accuracy value when the water is drained is 98.76% and when the water is full is 96.11%. The results of testing the feed system obtained the accuracy of the feed issued by 98.57% and the results of testing of the fish harvesting system obtained the percentage of active stepper motor by 100% and servo motor by 100%. .
