ABSTRACT In the progress of using the internet, there are many device updates in the world that use the internet. Communication between devices or what is called a machine to machine (M2M) that uses the internet is called the internet of things (IoT). On the other hand, the use of land by farmers as their agricultural land from generation to generation is inseparable from the use of chemicals as fertilizers or pesticides, the long-term impact of which is damage to the environment. Therefore the author makes a hydroponic farming system that is integrated with IoT technology. This research designs a prototype of a system that controls all activities in a greenhouse automatically, including opening and closing windows, adjusting lighting and adding nutrients automatically controlled via the web. The aim is to make it easier for farmers to manage plants and reduce production costs so that it is expected that yields will increase. The system in this study works based on plant data reference needs. In this system the tool has worked quite well based on reference data (plants) provided in the form of nutrition, temperature and light data needed. This is indicated by the sensor reading value that can be accessed through a serial monitor. Tests are also carried out to measure the precision of the sensors used. Test results show that sensors that have high precision are ultrasonic sensors with standard deviations = 0, and the lowest ones are TDS sensors with standard deviations = 35.5147.
