Abstract

ABSTRACT Rapid developments in the electronics field have forced everything to be demanded faster and more efficiently, one of which is the application of security and automation system technology in rooms and buildings. Technology in the field of security and automation systems has been widely applied in developed countries. The hotel has a lot of rooms that can be used by many people therefore the security and monitoring of the hotel must be improved so that nothing unexpected happens. In terms of security. conventional keys are considered less safe and efficient. In the use of conventional keys, many cases of theft are found by means of mechanical break-ins. In terms of monitoring and automation, conventional keys cannot do it. Therefore it is necessary to utilize technology for hotel security, monitoring and automation. In this study a system was designed that could open door locks with RFID tags and monitor the condition of the door through an android smartphone. Automatic hotel door safety devices that use RFID as electronic locks, magnetic switches installed as door sensors and Android applications for opening doors and remote monitoring have been successfully made and can work well. This is evidenced by testing system performance with a success rate of 100%. Automatic Hotel Door Prototype using IoT-based RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is able to read RFID tags with a maximum distance of 3 cm with a reading time of 2.67 seconds at a distance of 0 cm, 1.51 seconds at a distance of 1 cm, 2.16 seconds at a distance of 2 cm, 3.73 seconds at a distance of 3 cm and unreadable at a distance of 4 cm. System monitoring and control can be done anywhere and anytime because the system is connected to the internet. This monitoring and control system can be used for more than one device. This tool can be used as a solution to the problem of door security by means of conventional key automation and realtime monitoring . Kata kunci : NodeMCU, IoT, RFID
