Abstract
PT Holcim Indonesia Tbk (SMCB) officially entered into PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR) through its subsidiary PT Semen Indonesia Industri Bangunan (SIIB). So now Holcim has changed its name to PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk. PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk Cilacap plant is a state-owned enterprise that oversees high-quality cement factories in Indonesia. The company is quite active in production because besides fulfilling the domestic market it is also exported abroad. High continuity is needed in this unit, therefore a VSD is needed to regulate the motor speed adjusted to the desired production amount. VSD is one source of harmonics. With so many sources of harmonics, filtering is needed to reduce harmonics. In this final project the value of the power factor at load is 85% due to data limitations. Harmonic damping is done by installing a single tuned filter. Filters installed can reduce harmonics and improve power factor. THD V value is below 5%, but in this final project the THD I value is still a number of buses whose value is above the standard of IEEE 1992. Simulation and analysis is done using ETAP 12.6 software.
