Abstract
This study is titled "An Analysis of Borrowing Words from Dutch in Indonesia Language found in Kedaulatan Rakyat Newspaper Published on December 13–14, 2018". This study aims to find Indonesian loanwords from the Dutch language and identify how the meaning of words changes when they become loanwords. This study is a qualitative study because the data are analyzed qualitatively. These data are analyzed without statistical procedure. The datum is taken from the text of the newspaper and the author uses the documentation technique. The data in this study are sourced from the Kedaulatan Rakyat newspaper, which were published on December 13-14, 2018. The author reads the newspaper and underlines the words from Dutch language, then creates a table. In analyzing the data, the writer uses three ways, first the author reads every word in the newspaper, second, the author makes a list of words and third, the author finds the origin of words in Dutch. There are 69 data of Indonesian languages which are originated from Dutch language. The loanwords consist of 11 / 15,94% of adjectives and 58 / 84,05% of nouns, they are loanword and loanblend types. This study does not show a change in the meaning of loan words in Indonesian from the original words in Dutch. Keywords : loanwords, newspapers, Indonesian, Dutch, meaning
