Abstract
The aim of this research is to know the English borrowed words in South Bangka language. The most important purpose in this research is to know the change of meaning and pronouncation which happens in the borrowing words from English in South Bangka langauge. In this research, the researcher uses descriptive qualitative method and the researcher also uses some theories about borrowing word from Yule, Charles F. Hockett, and Albert C. Baugh. In this research, the writer uses content analysis as the methology because this study explains some types of borrowing word and process of change of meaning in English borrowed words in South Bangka language. In the data collection, the writer requires 27 days to record South Bangka people conversation. As the result, the writer found 23 borrowing words in South Bangka. They are 16 loanword, 3 loanblend, and 4 loanshift. In addiction, in this research, it was also found change of meaning process in English borrowing word into South Bangka. They are two extansion of meaning and one narrowing of meaning. Key words: borrowing words, English language, South Bangka language
