Abstract
This final paper studies and analyzes Rudolfo Anaya’s novel: Bless Me, Ultima. The main focus on this final paper is to answer two questions which are: (1) what culture is mimicked by Mexican and (2) How does the Mexican mimic the Spain? M.H. Abrams’s Mimetic approach, Bhabha’s Mimicry Theory and Edward Said’s Post-Colonialism theory are taken to conduct the research. The data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis method which focuses on the analysis of textual data. The data were taken by reading the novel repeatedly, reading some references related to the theory, taking note of important data, ordering and classifying the data and making conclusion. Some findings are found after conducted this research, those are: (1) Mimicry are done by indigenous people in terms of linguistic, literature and culture, (2) Mimicry action that is done by Mexican has a huge impact in their social condition; this new adapted culture leads them to have new characters and point of view.
