Abstract
The development of information technology today is very fast. Convenience is increasingly reaching the use of internet media and smartphones. Fortunately, almost all fields were touched well, including in the field of tourism. The amount of information available makes it difficult for users to determine tourist destinations. The existing system only displays certain tourism information and there is no filter choice to determine the desired tourist destination. Therefore, there needs to be a system that can provide recommendations for tourist destinations that have filters in them. Many methods can be used in the calculation of recommendations, one of which is SMARTER (Simple Multi-Attribute Recommendation Technique Exploiting Rank), a method that uses several attributes as parameters to be considered in determining alternative choices. Existing alternatives will be selected based on the attributes that have been determined. The implementation of the system uses the Android base with the Java programming language for data processing and XML for the user interface. Data storage is done using MySQL, the results of this study in the form of a mobile application that can provide travel recommendations based on calculations with the SMARTER method. The design model is described using Unified Modeling Language (UML) including use case diagrams, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams using Visio 2010 software, and Xampp for database design.
