Abstract

Serabi is a traditional Indonesian cake made from rice. Rice contains carbohydrates, fats, proteins, minerals and vitamins that are used as ingredients for Serabi cakes. At this time the consumptive power of people towards Serabi is getting higher, especially in the city of Tegal. Serabi cake production companies increasingly improve the quality of Serabi cake products, especially in the selection of raw materials for rice for making Serabi cakes. To make it easier for the Serabi production company, a decision support system (SPK) was made using the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) method with rice criteria such as rice strength, texture, aroma, and price. It is hoped that this method can make it easier to find out the best types of rice for making Serabis. The results of this study aim to make a recommendation system in selecting the best rice in the manufacture of Serabi cakes to help Serabi cake traders, especially in Tegal in determining if the proper rice is to be used as a Serabi with relatively low prices.
