Abstract
It is obvious that information is very critically important for a Pharmacy. The fast, prompt, and accurate information provide the best results for the pharmacy itself, both in the performance of the pharmacy with high effectiveness and efficiency of services and in providing the best service for customers. Pilangsari Farma Pharmacy had activities in serving the sale of drugs to consumers and procurement of drugs from suppliers. The main problem that occurred at the Pilangsari Farma Pharmacy at the time of recording the stock of the drug was that it was still lacking control and it made the drug that was approaching expired date not identified quickly because there was no automatic notification on the old system. Another thing that was a problem at the Pilangsari Farma Pharmacy was the lack of information on the minimum drug stock in the old system, causing problems with a shortage of drugs before the demand was due again. The selected method to overcome the occurring problems was developing a new system with which simplify managing drug data and information such as displaying a minimum drug stock and control so that no expired date drug stock was sold. The purpose of this study resulted in the development of a Pilangsari Farma Pharmacy information system that was able to assist in controlling drug stock management in pharmacies to minimize drug sales before the period expired. This information system was built using PHP programming language (Pear Hypertext Prepocessor), MySQL as a database and Sublime Text 3 as a programming support tool.
