Abstract
Yogyakarta Agriculture Institute is one of the tertiary institutions in Yogyakarta area established in 1983 and located at Jl. Magelang Km. 5.6 Yogyakarta. Problems with the learning process at the Yogyakarta Agricultural Institute were its information system. It can be seen from the facts that lecturers or students had obstacles to attend scheduled classes and limited classrooms that caused lecture processes hampered. This study aimed to provide convenience for lecturers and students in conducting the learning process that could be done outside of lecture schedules. Data collection methods used in this study were observation, interviews, literature study, and documentation. With this web-based e-learning information system lectures can be done anytime and anywhere, not limited only during lecture hours. This information system was built using the PHP programming language and MySQL as a database for data storage. This research produced a system that can provide convenience in managing learning data, interaction between lecturers and students, distribution of learning materials, and assessment of learning in the form of quiz scores and assignment grades.
