Abstract

Puskesmas Malinau Seberang is one of the community health centers in Malinau District which has health service facilities including KIA polyclinic, dental polyclinic, immunization polyclinic, laboratory, pharmacy, ambulance services, general polyclinic and child polyclinic. Puskesmas Malinau Seberang also provides services for BPJS, KIS and non BPJS patients. Data processing of Puskesmas Malinau Seberang services such as data collection for patients, doctors, medicines, examinations, transactions and report preparation were still carried out by recording manually in the forms of physical files such as ledgers and agendas. It made administrative staff have difficulty in searching, archiving, grouping medical record data and making reports. The other problem was long patient queue registration process. This happened because patients must fill out the form first in the registration section and the time length of searching data for registered patients. It happened because the storage in the cabinet was not well organized so that it interfered the patient's examination process. For this reason, the authors made a design to develop a desktop-based medical record information system at Puskesmas Malinau Seberang which was built using Borland Delphi programming language based on OOP (Object Oriented Programming) and SQL Server DBMS as database storage. With the existence of a medical record information system, it was hoped that it can facilitate the health service team of Puskesmas Malinau Seberang in processing patient examination registrations, inspection queue processes, inspection processes, medical records, payment and taking patient drugs more effectively. The results of making this application were that the patient registration process, printing the patient card and printing the queue number can be done easily only by accessing the registration form, searching patient data and patient medical records access using the medical record history feature, processing queue numbers which was equipped with call features respond to patients, and faster and accurate processing and reporting of diagnose diseases and doctor prescribed medication.
