Abstract
The development of information technology developed the role of computers which were originally more technical as a calculating machine turned to be a machine that helped various human activities. Computer capacity was increasingly sophisticated in managing data derived from sound, text images, graphics and even video into information to be used to assist operational and managerial activities, in decision making. CV. Latino Jeans is a company engaged in the manufacturing of jeans. The company produces various types of jeans with various types of pants with various models. The existing manufacturing process started from the process of receiving basic materials from various suppliers, the process of making patterns, sewing, laundry, and finishing. However, in each stage of the manufacturing process, the available data still applied general ledgers for data recording. This was not proportional for very large amount of productions, so that the delivery of the information took a long time and there were often errors in delivering information about the data needed, either the amount of base material, pattern data, raw pants data (pants that are stitched), in-laundry pants and production data. In fact, It happened that a digression existed caused by a mismatch between the amount of material removed with the number of finished pants. Therefore, the existence of a manufacturing information system was expected to solve the problems described. The method of collecting research data was by observation, interview and documentary. The system development method applied a prototype method structured with DFD, ERD as a system design tool using PHP as a programming language and My SQL as a media base deviation.
