Abstract

The Increase of community's consumption of animal proteins will encourage the development of the agricultural sector to improve the quality and productivity of livestock products. In the intensive farming, the problem of eating quality and drinking water are important things to be aware of. Eating and drinking are two important components in the farm. For breeders who have quite a lot of chickens, it can be a difficult task to keep them all the time. Generally, chicken farmers still use conventional system to feed and drink the chickens, as well as keep the hygiene of chicken drinking water. It will certainly be time-consuming for chicken farmers. The feeding and drinking tools, as well as the drain for the chicken farms are two supporting indicators to increase chicken production on chicken farms. The feeding of chicken can be eased by using mechanical equipment controlled by electronic equipments. The using of real time clock in this tool will regulate feeding and drinking to chickens, and the use of the ultrasonic sensors HC-SR04 will set the time of draining the drinking and time of feeding and drinking. In addition to the use of automation system in the drain, feeding and drinking, this cage is equipped with a thermoinfrared sensor that can detect the temperature of the livestock inside. If the animal temperature is ≤ 25 º C, the buzzer will automatically beep as a marker that there are livestocks that are experiencing pain. In addition to using temperature sensors, the cage is also equipped with a moisture sensor. If the moisture in the cage is detected ≤ 55%, the fan will be automatically on. The fan will stop automatically when the moisture in the cage reaches temperatures above 55%. The temperature and humidity display can be seen in the LCD display at the top of the component box.
