Abstract

Indonesia is an agrarian country whose main food is rice. Rice is one of the most important staple food products in the world. This statement is especially true in Asia, where rice is the staple food for the majority of the population. The technology in processing rice production in Indonesia is still lacking in development because it still uses traditional processing among the people. The production produced has not been maximized in handling the sorting of good quality grain size and not good in sorting. After all the process of grinding rice to become rice, the community did not pay attention to the quality of the size of the rice grains. The design of an automatic machine for sorting arduino uno-based grain size, was made to prove how to sort by enrichment using a dc motor with an arduino uno microcontroller. Can also weigh directly the results of enrichment by using a loadcell sensor. Loadcell sensors are quite accurate in weight readings marked by weight differences on manual scales, the average value of error is 0.16% loadcell A and 0.15% loadcell B by performing 5 sensor tests. The results of the loadcell sensor readings are directly displayed on the LCD. Keywords: Rice, DC Motor, Loadcell sensor, Arduino Uno, LCD
