Abstract
Tempe is a native food from Java which is very welknown in almost all parts of the archipelago. This soya-based processed food is widely sold in the market. Therefore many people take advantage of this opportunity to become tempe producers. Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept that aims to expand the benefits of continuously connected internet connectivity. In this case it can be concluded that IoT refers to and utilizes an object which will be able to communicate with one another through an internet network. Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) is a feedback mechanism controller that is usually used in industrial control systems. In its users, PID can reach a value in a stable manner.The research method used in this research is the study of literature, the collection and compilation of reports. Some of these methods are used to support the collection of data needed by researchers, regarding design that has similarities to research.In carrying out Design of Tempe Fermentation Optimization System Based on Temperature and Air Humidity with IOT-Based PID, the tool can work smoothly with the indication that tempe can be processed optimally. Optimization of tempe fermentation is done by providing lights and fans to regulate the temperature of the air, then providing water heaters and blowers to regulate air humidity. Optimal conditions for the tempe fermentation process by regulating the temperature of 30 ° C-35 ° C and humidity of 70% -80%. Modern tempe and traditional tempe trials can run smoothly with a success rate of 100%. Keyword : Tempe, IoT, Humidity Sensor, PID.
