Abstract

Shrimp farming entrepreneurs in Indonesia have various kinds of obstacles in the field in their business, one of which is regarding feeding. Feeding manually carried out by entrepreneur drains time and energy which makes inefficient shrimp farming entrepreneurs. The problem that occurs is feeding that is not regular and not on schedule, causing shrimp growth is inhibited and can result in death. In this study a shrimp feed spreader is designed that can spread feed evenly by regulating the rotation of the feed spreader in the form of a dc motor. Motor rotation speed is set from low rotation to high rotation to reach the pond area. This tool is also equipped with a monitoring system to monitor the state of temperature and turbidity of water. The distribution of feed evenly for pond size 9x9 meters, obtained by setting the rotation angle of the feed servo by 50˚, 60˚, 70˚ and 80˚ to regulate the rotation speed of the feed spreader (dc motor), which successively produces a speed of 285 Rpm, 323 Rpm, 549 Rpm, and 625 Rpm. Feeding on a scheduled basis with the RTC (Real Time Clock) as a timer in providing food can run well and accurately, according to the specified time. From the results of testing, the battery capacity used for the monitoring system can be used for 22 days, the battery capacity of the feed spreader can be used for 20 days, and the battery power capacity of the feed can be used for 16 days.
