Abstract
In Indonesia, books play an important role in supporting progress in the field of education. Along with the better level of education in Indonesia, demand for books tends to increase. Enforcement (Regulation of the Minister of National Education) Minister of National Education No.2 of 2008, made the growth of bookstores in Indonesia increasingly rapid. The National Education Minister Regulation prohibits publishers from directly selling books published to consumers, books must be purchased at bookstores. The number of bookstores in operation creates a climate of intense competition. The emergence of pirated book sellers has become a problem for bookstore business entrepreneurs, because the books offered are much cheaper compared to the original book. This is the reason for customers to choose books offered by pirated book sellers, not to mention customers being required to spend a long time to choose books according to the title sought / needed, sometimes the stock is not available in the bookstore in question. The purpose of this study is to create an E-Marketplace application for book providers, making it easier for visitors/buyers to find books according to the desired search criteria. This system is built using web programming programming languages such as PHP, HTML, CSS and Javascript and MySQL as the DBMS. Based on the description of the above problems, it is necessary to have a container that is used as a place to promote various categories of books that are distributed from suppliers/sellers to intermediaries in this case the website so that buyers get information about the available book collections. So as to facilitate the transaction process between buyers and suppliers/sellers. With a well- computerized information system, information will be processed more quickly and easily. Then web-based E-Marketplace books are used. In this system the results obtained from the book E-Marketplace application are to facilitate the process of buying transactions to suppliers/sellers, the process of adding products to sellers and processing sales transactions to buyers with a system top-up member balance and cash and interbank transfer systems.
