Abstract
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) is a Non-Departmental Indonesian Government Institution that has the responsibility of carrying out governmental tasks in the fields of Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics. BMKG is developing rapidly in line with the economic and cultural development of the Indonesian people. More and more workers are also helping the development of the company itself. The promotion is a remuneration given by the company to employees for their performance. In addition, opportunities for promotion can make employees feel valued, cared for, needed and recognized by their ability to work by management. To assist the Human Resources Department (HRD) in determining if employees can be recommended for promotions by knowing the final value of the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) calculation process with this method, it can be easier to take decisions in recommending promotions with a lot of data. The results of this study are a decision support system that is used to help or alleviate the Human Resources Department (HRD) in conducting promotions and assist in making reports such as reports on recommendations for promotion at BMKG Yogyakarta.
