Abstract
Increasing market competition in various business fields, especially in services, makes the sales accounting system that has not used a computer ineffective. One example of this line of business is the car rental business. The processing of company transaction data is increasingly inaccurate and slow in line with the increase in transactions carried out. On that basis, Computer Rental Information Systems are used so that they are faster and more accurate. This car rental information system presents information about managing vehicle rental data, especially cars. This system was created to improve the performance of car rental data processing quickly, efficiently and effectively for administrators and employees. This car rental management information system is created using PHP, Javascript and HTML as well as MySQL as the database. The software development methodology used in this system is the waterfall / SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodology. The results of the design of this application are an online-based application that can facilitate customers in searching for cars that are available, various types of cars and rental prices both in town and out of town as well as facilities therein, information about customer reservation requirements, reservation processes that can be done online, promo information and unit discounts to customers, city car package information along with the rental price, billing payment by cash or transfer, reminder / notification of rental expiration to the customer and return of the car if the return deadline has arrived.
