Abstract
Soccer is a sport that matches two teams, each team consisting of eleven players who aim to put the ball into the opponent's goal as much as possible. Each player in a soccer team has a different position and different roles depending on the position in place. Broadly speaking, the position of soccer players is divided into four parts, namely the position of goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, and attacker. The ability criteria owned by the player will determine the coach of a soccer team to put the player in an ideal position according to the ability criteria. At present there are still many coaches who find it difficult to determine the ideal position for their players. There are still coaches who have not been able to objectively assess players according to the ability of their own foster children not from the subjective assessment of a coach. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is used as a method of the recommendation system in the process of determining the ideal position of a soccer player by using several criteria to choose the right position for a player. The recommendation system developed is used to assist the trainer in making the right decision and AHP is used as a model for weighting criteria in the selection process. This system was built using PHP and MySQL programming languages as database processing media. Whereas data analysis techniques and models use structured flow methods namely Data Flow Diagrams (DFD) and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD). Based on the above problems, a system is created that can provide recommendations for the assessment of a coach in determining the ideal position of players in football objectively in accordance with the criteria of ability possessed by a soccer player.
