Abstract
Information about outdoor equipment rental in Madiun City is inadequate; the majority of users of rental services are only given rental information through the scope of friendship. When submitting information about outdoor equipment rentals, it is usually only given a benchmark of an area without being clear in detail about the location of outdoor equipment rentals and the name of the rental. The distance traveled by the rental service user to the rental location is also a problem for researchers. This study aims to be a media that bridges between users and providers of outdoor equipment rental services in the context of the closest distance. Users only need to look for outdoor equipment rental agencies through the system based on the closest distance to the outdoor equipment rental location. This system can be a medium to facilitate service users in determining the nearest outdoor equipment rental agency, because users can see the shortest distance of the rental agency. Therefore, the authors propose a solution in the form of a system that implements Location Based Service (LBS) for outdoor tool rental information in the city of Madison based on a website that is integrated with the Google Maps API, to assist users in finding the closest outdoor equipment rental services from the user's location. Thus the problems in finding information on outdoor equipment rental services can be resolved. Keywords: System, outdoor tools, location based services (LBS)
