Abstract
Along with the development of smartphones in Indonesia, people from various professions rely on smartphones. Problems arise when these developments are not accompanied by a system that supports the selection of smartphones that are expected to be appropriate and appropriate for each user's criteria. Currently the smartphone with the most popular operating system is the smartphone, which has the same function as the others. Nowadays there are more types and brands of electronic devices that cause prospective buyers confused because of the many choices and functions offered by the device different electronics. Most people who do not really know the functions and uses of the smartphone might buy the wrong smartphone. Then a decision support system engaged in information technology, especially handling the selection of smartphones with the Simple Additie Weighting (SAW) method, is expected to improve the quality of selection and as a comparison in choosing which smartphone to look for is a web-based information system that can be used to help prospective buyers smartphones in choosing the right smartphone and according to the criteria. In this system the user will give weight to the main criteria, namely, price, internal, ram, camera, and battery. Giving weight must be 100 percent in total. Based on the weight given the user will get the results in the form of 5 recommended smartphone systems. Keywords: Technology, Smartphone, Information System, Simple Additive Weighting
