Abstract

D-Farm Timang is a medium-scale laying duck business with a production of 2000-2500 eggs/ day. Determination of proper feed composition and nutrition in laying ducks is very important to maximize duck’s egg production. In determining the composition of feed in the D-Farm Timang farm currently, the business still uses trial and error that is by estimating the composition of the feed itself so that the nutrients contained in laying duck feeds are less than optimal and result in less optimal egg production. Therefore the writer wants to conduct research to optimize the composition of feed for laying ducks using the Pearson square method. Pearson square method allows mixing of two or more types of feed with different nutrient concentrations into the mixture with the desired concentration according to the standard requirements for laying ducks. With the application of optimizing the composition of laying ducks feed using the Pearson square method, D-Farm Timang farm can optimize the composition of feed and nutrition of laying ducks so that egg production can be maximized. The application is built using the Javascript, PHP and Mysql programming languages as the database. Keywords: Optimization of feed composition, duck eggs, Pearson Square
