Abstract
Nowadays, laptops are very much needed for work and tasks, and are also used as a means to play games and design. But choosing a laptop that is suitable for your needs is not an easy matter. The many choices available often make prospective buyers confused. Then a web-based laptop recommendation system is made with the profile matching method so that it can help prospective buyers in choosing a laptop that matches the criteria and funds they have. The research method carried out has three stages, namely the Research Object, Data Collection, System Analysis and Design, System Implementation and testing. This system is designed using DAD (Data Flow Diagram), ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram) and Level Diagram. The software used to create the system is Sublime text using the programming language PHP and MYSQL as a database server. This web-based laptop selection recommendation system uses criteria like Price, VGA, RAM, Processor, Harddisk and system requirements The results of the questionnaire percentage also determine whether the criteria and results of this system are in accordance with what the community wants.
