Abstract

Garbage problem will be more serious if proper handling is not applied immediately. Mamuju City is one of the cities that is often busy with garbage problems. It is evidenced by the abundance of garbage scattered in the city and it seems that it is not handled well, although the government has put trash cans on almost all the edges of the road in the city of Mamuju. Arduino is an open source microcontrolller of Singleboard. Arduino is designed in such a way that facilitate its users in the field of electronics. A system Design of detecting the height of waste by using a website-based and arduino uno microcontroller is able to help the government deal with the problem of waste by providing information to the relevant parties regarding the problem of accumulated waste. The system is able to display waste height data accurately and it can determine the status of empty trash cans to the full ones. It is able to provide online information in the form of the location of the trash cans. The system is also capable to monitor online so that it can be accessed anytime and anywhere.
