Abstract
This field work practice is a form of systematic and synchronized implementation of educational programs in a university with a mastery program of expertise obtained through work activities directly in the world of work. To achieve a certain level of expertise, the authors carried out fieldwork practices in the cultural department that is located on Cendana no.11 Street, Semaki, Umbulharjo, Yogyakarta during one month from 09 January to 08 February. Yogyakarta cultural service company had a vision and mission to improve the quality of life and human dignity. In the final task the author discussed the daily activities undertaken in the cultural department. The internship gave benefits to the writer doing field work practices in the cultural service. One of the activities that the author did everyday was archiving such as sorting archives based on ancient and historical relics including museums, protection and others. Based on the writer's practical work in Yogyakarta cultural service, the writer gained new experience that had never been obtained anywhere else. He valued time more and was more disciplined. The writer had to arrive at the office at 07.30, her colleagues were very friendly and did not hesitate give knowledge and new experiences to the writers. Key words: Intership, culture, tourism
