Abstract

Based on data obtained from the 2018 PLN Statistical Reports, the number of electricity sales increased by 0.88%, 6.01%, 4.04% and 4.19% in the Household, Industrial, Business and Other groups in 2017 and 3.57 %, 6.52%, 5.59% and 7.25% in the same group. There are many tools used in electricity in humans' daily life, ranging from household appliances, office equipment, communication equipment, school facilities, and many others. In the education sector itself, to support more advanced education, electricity is a necessary tool. Unfortunately, most of the users are not well controlled and have not been managed well. There is still a lack of awareness among students in using electricity efficiently. The need for technology to make us easy to turn on and turn off power automatically and monitor electricity usage in each class. Therefore, the idea of creating a monitoring system technology in the classroom using an Arduino-based multisensor is urgent. This system uses two sensors, namely the PZEM-004T sensor and the PIR (Passive Infra-Red) sensor. As a media to display the data, a website is connected via a local network cable. The site is designed in such a way as to be able to view energy usage in each classroom. Besides, there are other enhancements such as relays that are used as automatic voltage breakers and Ethernet Shield, which is used to send data to the server. After the testing process, the system is running quite well, starting from the software and hardware. The server is used only to monitor energy usage, and the entire system is running according to the initial design that was made. Keywords: Arduino, PZEM-004t, PIR (Passive Infra-Red), Ethernet Shield, Website
