Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with vast oil reserves. However, Indonesia's oil production cannot cover domestic fuel consumption needs. It causes exacerbated by the activity of "urinating BBM," which is an attempt to drain fuel from tank trucks illegally. In several cities, Pertamina has implemented a GPS on the tank fuel trucks. However, monitoring via GPS is still operated manually. Therefore, all fuel trucks cannot be monitored well. Thus, the authors design a system based on IoT (Internet of Things) that allows real-time monitoring of fuel theft efforts by tank truck drivers. This final project utilizes ESP32 microcontroller, U-Blox Neo-6M GPS module, ultrasonic sensor, database to accommodate data readings from ultrasonic sensors and GPS. GPS generated the Php program converts data in the form of latitude and longitude into marker form. Ultrasonic sensor reading data will be displayed at the marker point in a web hosting so that the results of ultrasonic sensor readings in the way of volumes in liters can be displayed on the web for realtime monitoring. From the testing of the ultrasonic sensor components, the best accuracy rate was 98.6%, and the precision was 99.97% with the error testing of the ultrasonic sensor at 1.4%. Testing the RFID sensor component as a security system has 100% accuracy and 100% precision so that this component can be used to monitor vehicles loaded with fuel in real-time, to prevent illegal theft of fuel distribution activities.
