Abstract

Along with the rapid development of science and technology in this globalization era, the demand for electrical energy is increasing because electrical energy is a parameter of the development of a modern region. Therefore this research conducts a case study in PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Klaten, by discovering the problems that exist in the distribution of Low Voltage Networks in a 1 phase 50 kVA transformer that is overloaded. These problems result in Loss of power loss and voltage drop. To overcome the problem of power loss, the authors make a network repair plan using ETAP 12.6 software to change the low voltage network topology with two options, namely adding transformer insert or load switching reconfiguration so that the voltage value on the consumer side is following PLN standards. Based on the simulation of the overloaded Etap transformer with a percentage of 84% with 8.8 kW losses after the load switching was reconfigured at a nearby transformer, the loading value was reduced to 63% and for losses to 2.8 KW. And the value of voltage drop from 24% to 5.8% with SPLN standard maximum limit of 10% and a minimum of 5%. For Saving Energy in one day 30 kWH, as well as with financial savings of Rp 44,018.00. For this reason the load transfer reconfiguration simulation can be implemented in the low voltage network. Keywords: Losses, Reconfiguration, Insert, Drop voltage
