Abstract

The eye is one of the human senses that plays a very vital role in human survival. Besides being useful as a sense of sight, the eye is also able to distinguish different colors of the object. Indeed, people could enjoy the color combination of an object. However, only a few humans who experience interference so that they are unable to see and distinguish these various colors. Therefore, the researcher created special tools to help people recognize these various colors. In this tool, the researcher used the TCS3200 sensor, which generated the RGB value frequency on an object. That frequency processed using the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) method. There were ten assorted colors: red, blue, green, yellow, brown, purple, orange, gray, black, and white. This study used 30 samples in each color to produce a total of 300 color samples. The samples were computed by the ANN method, which produced a reading program that referred to the samples. The result of reading from 40 colors, the tool read with an accuracy value of 100% and an error value of 0%. Keywords: color sensor, tcs3200, artificial neural network, backpropagation
