Abstract

Landslides are events where several soil masses are moving together and occur as a result of the sliding of a soil volume over a watertight, water-saturated layer. Landslides will occur if there are steep slopes, a layer below the surface of the soil mass, which is rather watertight and soft, which will become a sliding plane, and there is enough water in the soil to become saturated. Many landslide disasters often occur. Therefore, we need a tool that can detect potential landslide hazards, such as a landslide detection system based on soil capacitance measurement using the internet of things (IoT). The tool provided a warning on any change in the value of ground capacitance through the LED and buzzer indicators and can also monitor the value of land capacitance using the thingspeak channel.
