Abstract

Electricity is a source of energy that is needed by humans today. High lighting demand in public road results in an electricity crisis, such as in Baron Technopark, which still uses electricity-powered (PJU). It, of course, adds to the demand for electricity that impacts on the electricity crisis. Indeed, the high electricity consumption of PJU also affects the number of electricity bills. An alternative that is offered in this research is the application of solar-powered PJU (PJUTS). This PJUTS uses sunlight as its energy source, and lithium battery as a source of energy storage, not only that the burden used is LED lights that are known environmentally friendly. By using PJUTS, this is undoubtedly economical and environmentally friendly. However, before the implementation of PJUTS, technical and economic analysis was needed to assess whether the investment is feasible or not. Based on technical analysis, PJUTS was feasible because of its highly used in life, non-electricity, economical, and environmentally friendly. The economic analysis looked at the comparison between conventional PJU costs and PJUTS with a 25-year projection. The economical analysis showed that the PJUTS was feasible to be applied rather than PJU. Keywords: Solar Cell, Lamp, Battery
