Abstract

Some soil fertility factors include temperature and humidity in the soil. Proper soil temperature and humidity make the soil sufficient pore space. Therefore, air circulation in the soil can run well. With healthy soil, the soil can have a neutral pH value to have plants grow well. To determine whether the soil is fertile or not, it needs a laboratory testing mechanism which generally takes 3-5 days in the process of soil fertility testing. Responding to these problems, the authors built a system to identify soil fertility in real time. This system used a soil moisture sensor FC-28 and a DS18B20 temperature sensor on the arduino microcontroller as a process unit and implanted an artificial intelligence through the fuzzy method as a system processing unit. Based on the results of the study, it obtained an accuracy value of 100% when testing the instrument. This is good because in an agricultural and agrarian sector, a system that can measure soil fertility accurately is needed.
