Abstract
Traffic lights are lights that are used to regulate the smooth flow of traffic at an intersection by giving road users the opportunity from each direction to walk alternately. Long and congested queues of traffic vehicles that stop at traffic lights often interfere with some emergency vehicles that require more speed to provide help to certain parties. Emergency vehicles are often hampered by other drivers who lack awareness that emergency vehicles are prioritized for the safety of certain parties. With the problems that are quite vulnerable above, it is necessary to make a solution by improving the traffic light system which must free emergency vehicles that pass by setting aside some other vehicles. The plan is, the system to be built uses a microcontroller namely NodeMCU which has a Web Server feature, so that it is able to enter and change data to control traffic lights. NodeMCU Web Server is used to provide data input to the NodeMCU program as a signal to change the green light at a traffic light at a crossroads. The system will give commands via smartphone control, if given the command for the green light to turn on then the green light will light up to the command is turned off again. The off command will return to the original system after an interval of three seconds, so that the traffic light system at the three intersections will return to normal.
